Casualties of Work

6:45 alarm went off, hit snooze
6:55 Hit Snooze again
7:05 Alarm went off again. Instead of hitting snooze turned the alarm off
7:35 woke up and tried to do quick math/physics to see if there was any way to make it to work by 8:00.
7:36 Decide there wasn't so I laid back down for 10 minutes
8:00 After showering, shave, brushing, etc. discovered that the shirt I had ironed the day before did not match any of my clean pants.
8:05 Ironed a white shirt since white goes with everything.
8:07 Since I was wearing a white shirt and I didn't have any appointments for the day, decided to wear a goofy loud tie with big red chili peppers on it.
8:08 After putting on my shirt I grabbed a pair of black pants that I discovered were way too small and should never be worn again.
8:09 Since I was running late, decided to suck it in and wear them anyway and hope no one noticed the stress lines created by the fabric being stretched to it's limits.
8:12 Realized that due to lack of blood flow, I couldn't feel my feet.
8:30 Arrived at work, nobody even noticed I was late
8:45 Received a phone call from large client that wanted to meet today. Glad I wore the goofy red chili pepper tie.
9:00 Checked my work email, both private emails, my blog, myspace and a videomaker forum for any recent updates.
9:01 Nothing New
9:45 Went to the restroom and played tetris on my cell phone. (people probably think I have a fiber problem)
10:30 Had an argument with a co-worker. Which is better, Lucky Charms or Fruit Loops (Lucky Charms)
11:15 Beat my own high score on minesweeper. 174 seconds on expert.
11:45 Watched a guy on You Tube who took his picture everyday for 6 years.
1:00 Received an email from my boss saying she please do not reply to her emails with things like Ok, got it, will do, etc. as they waste her time in opening them just to read "will do"
1:02 Replied to my boss's email with an email that read, "sure thing"
2:00 Googled myself
2:35 Checked my emails, myspace and videomaker forum again.
2:36 Received rare email that I had been chosen as a winner and a message that if I forwarded it to 10 friends I would get a surprise at 12 midnight.
3:15 Went outside to get some fresh air. 3 of my co-workers were outside smoking.
3:45 Spaced out in front of my computer for about 10 minutes
4:15 Got up and walked randomly around the office like I was looking for something.
4:45 Decided to post my days events on my blog
5:01 Wow, I worked over today.

The Crocodile Hunter

I can’t believe it, Steve “the Crocodile Hunter” Erwin has passed away and it wasn’t even at the jaws of the creature he loved and respected so much. If you didn’t already hear, the Crocodile Hunter was killed when the barb from a sting ray punctured his chest.

Say what you like about the oft times over zealous Ausie, I liked him and have watched his entertaining and educational antics for years. Other than his Michael Jackson impression with his baby son, I enjoyed his enthusiasm about the animals in the world around us. Who wouldn’t want a career where you traveled the globe facing the world’s most dangerous animals and bringing them into the living rooms of millions of people? I for one will miss him.
